UNLEASH the Collective
Before Carnival became spectacle, it was defiance.
Mama Sally emerged in Caribbean Carnival as a figure of exaggeration and fearless embodiment. She challenged ideas of respectability. She disrupted expectation. She used presence amplified, unapologetic, larger-than-life as a form of resistance and celebration. She took up space when space was not freely given.
She was bold. She was expressive. She was impossible to ignore.
In 2026, under UNLEASH, Mama Sally rises as The Force in Fun Masq.
This is not about restraint. This is about expansion. The Force represents collective energy unleashed movement that spreads from one body to another until the entire road pulses as one.
Heat-saturated colour floods this section reds, pinks, golds and violets melting into each other like sunset meeting bassline. Fabric shifts with rhythm. The silhouettes whether designed for women or cut for men are built for motion, built for sweat, built for sound system energy.
This is not armour. This is activation.
In the 60th year of Notting Hill Carnival, The Force honours Mama Sally’s original spirit not by caricature, but by amplification. By reclaiming space joyfully. By celebrating the body without apology. By understanding that sometimes the loudest statement is simply being fully present.
This section is the heartbeat of the band.
Where strangers become crew.
Where rhythm erases distance.
Where individuality grows stronger inside collective power.
You don’t perform here, you participate, you don’t hold back, you let go.
Bold. Expressive. Electric.
UNLEASH the energy. UNLEASH the crowd. Become The Force.
